Cal Poly
Rose Float

Every year since 1949, Cal Poly Universities San Luis Obispo and Pomona have worked together to enter a float into the Tournament of Roses Parade. This float is the only entirely student designed, built, and operated float in the parade making this program a unique learning opportunity to the two campuses. By welcoming students of all majors and any skill level, Cal Poly Rose Float is a shining example of Cal Poly’s “Learn by Doing” motto.

How to get involved:
If you are a SLO student and you have been to a SLO lab day, you can RSVP for our Joint Lab Days using the link below. RSVPs open the Wednesday 17 days before the relevant lab day and close the Tuesday 11 days before. That means the form is available for only 6 days, 2 weeks before the given lab day. Once one form closes, the form for the next lab day will open.
If you didn’t make it to any SLO lab days, you can come to our weekly department meetings and join our discord to be notified about opportunities to engage from the SLO campus.Stay updated on our Discord and email list. Check our progress on Instagram. Learn about our history on our YouTube and Website.
